      Once upon a time...

Lived a girl called Jess with a Big Hairy Audacious Dream...
and even though she was afraid, she found the courage to
make her Dreams come true...and that was the start of

BHAD ACADEMY.

Hello I'm Jess! Lovely to meet you.

For many years, I thought I had to become someone else to be enough.

I spent decades chasing approval, battling self-doubt, carrying shame, feeling broken and disconnected from who I truly was.  I was never broken. I was just lost.

Through decades of personal growth, healing, truth seeking and life experiences, I discovered something that changed everything.

I wasn't becoming someone new.

I was remembering who I had always been.

Whole. Worthy. Wonderfully made.

Today, every part of my journey has become part of my purpose. My pain gave me Purpose.

BHAD Academy is the expression of that journey, to help people heal, grow and become who they were created to be through practical tools that strengthen the heartset, mindset and skillset for lasting transformation.

🌏 The Migrant

I was born in Indonesia then moved to Perth as a teen and now call both Indonesia & Australia home. Experiencing two cultures has given me a deep understanding of identity, belonging and the challenges of navigating change. It inspired me to create The BHAD Migrant Map™ Journey, helping families and people like me build a life in a new country

without losing who they are.

⚡ The Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer with a 20 year career, I learned to think in systems, solve complex problems, design & analyse interconnections, think outside the box & create practical solutions.

Today, that same thinking shapes every BHAD framework and program, transforming personal development into simple, actionable tools that people can apply in everyday life. This part of my story is what opened the door to speaking with kids at schools from a STEM point of view. I am very passionate about advocating for girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).

❤️ The Mother

Motherhood has been one of my greatest teachers. Raising my children - Alyssa, Leona & Maxwell has deepened my understanding of resilience, emotional wellbeing, identity and the importance of creating healthy families. Becoming a parent is a blessing, but parenting is something we continue to improve on every single day. Raising great Humans require us to become one, this is why THE BHAD PARENT JOURNEY exist. My children humble me & continually remind me that transformation begins at home.

🎤 The Singer

Although I discovered my love of singing as a child, but fear and self-doubt kept that gift hidden for many years. Standing on stage on my 40th Birthday as an adult became more than a performance. It became a symbol of healing, courage and finally finding my own voice.

Today, music remains one of the ways I connect, inspire and bring hope to others.

📚 The Author

Writing allows me to weave together ideas, experiences and timeless truths into practical wisdom. Through books, journals and resources, my hope is to help people reflect more deeply, ask better questions and discover the Light that has always been within them & return Home.

👑 The Founder

BHAD Academy was born from a simple belief that I hold:

Every person deserves the opportunity to heal, grow and flourish.

Today BHAD Academy partners with schools, organisations, communities and families through keynote presentations, workshops, coaching programs and educational resources designed to create lasting transformation.

This isn't simply just my business.

It's my calling.

If I can Love myself at 38 - why can't you?

If I can step towards my Dream at 42 - what are you waiting for?

Colonel Sanders started KFC at 65. Yep. You get the point.

It is never too late to become the BEST version of YOU!!

There are moments in life that quietly divide everything into

before and after. For me, this was one of them.

In 2024, I stood on stage for my 40th Birthday Disney Charity Concert surrounded by the people I love most. My parents were there. My husband and children stood beside me performing on the big stage as a family! My husband reluctantly did Zazu from the Lion King song - he was brilliant! My girls Alyssa & Leona were little Superstar! I sang duets with my beautiful cousin Celline and my amazing high school friend Ian. It was unforgettable!! One for the books!

My extended family travelled from Indonesia to celebrate with us. Together with more than 100 incredible guests, we raised over $4,000 for families impacted by domestic violence through the incredible charity of Rach Mach - Broken Crayons Still Colour.

But the greatest thing that happened that night wasn't the money we raised.

It was the healing that took place within me.

The coming Home to my Authentic self.

As a little girl, I discovered my love for singing, yet fear, rejection and self-doubt slowly convinced me to hide that gift. For years, I silenced my own voice and believed I wasn't enough. I became disconnected from who I truly was.

That evening, something changed & shifted. For the first time, I wasn't trying to prove myself. I wasn't performing for approval.

I simply stood on stage as myself.

I sang.

I shared my story.

And I realised that the greatest freedom isn't performing without fear.

It's no longer allowing fear to decide whether you perform.

Looking back now, I see that concert as far more than a milestone.

It was a declaration. A reminder that healing is possible.

That our greatest wounds can become our greatest gifts.

And that when we finally embrace who we are, we create space for others to do the same. That night didn't just launch another chapter of my life. It affirmed my Calling.

Today, every keynote, every workshop, every program & every resource I create through BHAD Academy carries the same hope I experienced on that stage:

That every person DISCOVERS the courage to

FIND their own voice, step into their own story and

become the Light they were always created to be.

  The Day Everything Changed...

"It was the first time I sang and spoke unafraid."

Why BHAD Academy Exists...

BHAD Academy is the most authentic expression of my journey, my values, my healing and my service. Some have said it is an extension of who I am - my purpose in action. BHAD Academy exists to help people remember who they are, strengthen who they are becoming and live with greater love, purpose, connection and belonging.

My hope is that every person who encounters BHAD Academy walks away with greater clarity, confidence, connection and the courage to become the BEST-est & BHAD-est version of themselves. Because I believe the more whole we become as individuals,

the better our families, communities and world become.

We don't change the world by changing everyone. We change the world by helping one person remember who they are, one heart at a time.
